Chongqing- In the Chongqing Huguang Guild Hall, a venue with more than 300 years of history, invitees experienced and appreciated a cultural feast of ancient charm themed on the Mid-Autumn Festival on September 29th, 2020.

At the beginning of the event, Li Zewei, secretary-general of the Chongqing Sinology Research and Exchange Promotion Association, shared his insight into traditional Chinese etiquette with the audience, and then the guests performed a moon ritual ceremony to pray for blessings.

Following the grand opening, a wonderful series of traditional art performances took turns to appear onstage, such as classical Chinese dance, Guqin calligraphy, tea, wine, and incense etiquette, Yue opera, acrobatics, and song recitation.

Attendee Qin Xueya commented. ‘I brought my children to participate in this traditional cultural event at the Huguang Guild Hall, which is of great educational value for them. I greatly appreciated the opportunity to enjoy a traditional Mid-Autumn Festival, and I hope my children can learn about and gain a love for their national culture.’
