Foreign Guests Learn Traditional Culture at Mid-Autumn and National Day Event with Laowai @Chongqing

Chongqing- To celebrate the National Day and Mid-Autumn holiday, the intangible cultural heritage and rural experiences program Laowai @Chongqing organized a stage show featuring moon cake competitions, traditional performances, and experiences so that overseas friends can gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture while enhancing the protection and inheritance of traditional culture.

The event took place in Xiliutuo Old Street in the Banan District and was attended by foreign dignitaries and overseas university students.
After the large gathering of foreign guests and locals enjoyed performances of Mudong folk song, Jielong percussion, and Jiangjia dance, there was also a wide variety of cultural activities set up in the old street, including calligraphy, tea etiquette, glutinous rice cake making, and paper cutting.
Finally, the day’s activities ended with a treasure hunt for toys themed on the mascot of Banan District cultural travel, the Banan tiger.
