3 New Trails in Yunfeng Mountain, Another Great Weekend Getaway!

According to the Jiulongpo District Team for Promoting the Implementation of Urban Improvement Task on October 16, three newly rebuilt trails at Yunfeng Mountain, an offset of Zhongliang Mountain in Jiulongpo, were officially completed on September 30, offering a new destination for people to enjoy the forest.

Yunfeng Mountain

Yunfeng Mountain, located in Yunfeng Village, Huayan Town, is an important part of Zhongliang Yunling Forest Park. The top of the mountain is about 500 meters above sea level and the foot about 410 meters. At the foot of the mountain, it takes a 7-km drive to the Huayan Tourist Scenic Area through the traffic artery of Shantian Road.

Among the three trails, the No. 1 trail, 385 meters long and 1.8 meters wide, is rebuilt from the ruins of 300 stone steps and paved with old squared stone. The No. 2 trail is a new one paved with bluestone slates, starting from the original Yunfeng Primary School site, with a length of 412 meters and a width of 1.8 meters. The No. 3 one is rebuilt from a temporary construction road and paved with grass-planting bricks, which is 460 meters long and 3 meters wide.

The trail in Yunfeng Mountain

Through field experience that among the three trails, the No. 1 trail has the thickest historical atmosphere. While walking up the old stone stairs, it is like going back to ancient times. The No. 3 trail is filled with a riot of colors, with great bougainvillea, lush trees, and green grass constituting a pleasing landscape along the way.

The three trails converge at Yunfeng Temple at the top of the mountain. Standing in front of this antique temple, you can overlook the Huayan New City and Chongqingxi Railway Station. The mountains in the distance are shrouded in clouds and mist and stretch to the horizon, like a dreamlike and breathtaking splash-ink landscape painting.
