During Oct.22 – 25, the Photo Exhibition Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Ethiopia-China Diplomatic Relations was held at Chongqing Metropolitan Oriental Plaza, Jiefangbei. This exhibition was organized by Ethiopian Consulate General in Chongqing, Chongqing Cultural Exchange Center, and Yuzhong District Foreign Affairs Office.

In this event, iChongqing invited Mr. Anteneh, the Consul General of Ethiopia in Chongqing for an interview, to talk about the cooperation and following activities between Ethiopia and Chongqing.

There are about 50 photos on display at this exhibition, which are divided into 5 sections: natural scenery, wild animals, historical places, cultural landscapes, and China-Ethiopia cooperation. These photos showed colorful sulfur hot springs of Lake Asayla, the spectacular active volcano of Etal, Ethiopia’s unique lion-tailed baboons and wild goats, the ancient sacred rock church of Lalibela, and the majestic Aksum obelisk, witness The Asia-Djibouti Railway and the African Union Headquarters Building of China-Ethiopia Friendship, the photo exhibition was reset to present the panoramic view of Ethiopia from an additional angle, to introduce this beautiful and historical African country to the audience in Chongqing. It also showed the achievements of China-Ethiopia cooperation, and enhance people’s understanding and friendship.
