The Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle Sci-Tech Innovation Alliance kicked off in Bishan District Chongqing on October 31. Over 150 experts and scholars from universities, research institutions, and enterprises in Sichuan and Chongqing attended the conference.

As a non-profit new tech innovation organization, this Alliance aims to promote the establishment of a national influential sci-tech innovation center in the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle by giving a full play to the academic and talent advantages of both places, integrating their discipline resource and strengthening their sci-tech cooperation and exchange.
The Alliance will hold academic forums, symposiums, project roadshows, and technology promotion meetings regularly to attract experts and scholars from intelligent manufacturing, big data analysis, and bio-engineering.
Furthermore, it will also drive the industrial technology upgrading and achievement transformation in Sichuan and Chongqing by focusing on the industry's key generic technology research, advanced breakthrough product development, and large-scale industrial application of technological achievements.

The Alliance is located in Chongqing High-tech Industrial Research Institute. The Institute has spent 500 million yuan building a 100,000-square-meter industrial building with shared sci-tech research devices, attracting more than ten tech enterprises.
