2020 China Hi-Tech Forums: Bring Hi-Tech Applications into More Scenarios in Reality

Shenzhen- The 22nd China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF) officially opened on November 11, with both CHTF 2020 Opening Forum and China Hi-Tech Forum launched on the first day.

The 22nd China Hi-Tech Fair officially opened on November 11, with both CHTF 2020 Opening Forum and China Hi-Tech Forum launched on the first day.

Huawei made its appearance at the Opening Forum, intending to discuss new connotations and practices for developing smart cities across the country by setting up thematic exhibition areas, hosting smart city summits, and participating in special forums.

Through focusing on the topic of "cooperative innovation for a win-win development" at the Opening Forum, Zheng Yelai, Chairman of Huawei Cloud Computing Technology Co., Ltd. and President of Huawei Cloud Business, said that technological innovation is always the key. He thinks the future manufacturing industry will become more important, which drives high-quality competition globally.

Zheng Yelai, Chairman of Huawei Cloud Computing Technology Co., Ltd. and President of Huawei Cloud Business, made a speech at the Opening Forum.

Zheng continued, AI technology is fully used to improve the production process. Huawei hopes to bring AI applications into more scenarios in the future and build smart cities to promote various industries, benefit the people, and optimize cities’ governance. In the future, Huawei will continue to deepen cooperation with Shenzhen to create a model city to boost the national digital economy and set a good example for other cities across the country.

During the Hi-Tech Fair, Huawei sets up a 270-square-meter "smart city" booth to showcase the full-scenario smart solutions, covering the idea of new governance, life, and an economy based on new concepts and digital infrastructure.

Chen Shiqing, a fellow of the American Academy of Engineering and the American Academy of Science and Art, as well as a dean of the Third Brain Research Institute of the United States, who is 76 years old, and whose brain age is only 36 years old, made a speech at the China Hi-Tech Forum. Under the main theme of the “New Era, Technology, Economy" forum, he talked about the seven application fields and scenarios of "Brain Science + Artificial Intelligence (AI) + Grid Edge Supercomputing," including smart medicine, education, energy, cultural creation, manufacturing, agriculture, and transportation.

Chen Shiqing, a fellow of the American Academy of Engineering and the American Academy of Science and Art, and a dean of the Third Brain Research Institute of the United States.

Chen said the combination of 5G, industrial Internet, big data, brain science, AI, grid edge supercomputing would effectively enhance the manufacturing production process.

Specifically, in smart manufacturing, Chen said, the combination of 5G, industrial Internet, big data, brain science, AI, and grid edge supercomputing will effectively enhance the manufacturing production process. 5G will send a huge amount of real-time big data collected by the intelligent terminal remote sensor via the industrial internet to the edge supercomputing platform's power and calculation capacity. Through the special algorithm of AI, this is designed to make the best manufacturing plan.

In addition, Chen also mentioned the importance of promoting new infrastructure, kinetic energy, and engine. He raised a series of questions about continuing to discover the new infrastructure's new development opportunities and whether the new infrastructure can reshape the economic structure and production relations for a more creative and vital era in the future.
