Chongqing- The 2nd Western China HR Proficiency Competition will be co-hosted by the human resource authorities of Chongqing and Sichuan for the first time starting from Nov. 16, the winners will be eligible for a total prize of 130,000 yuan and recommended to compete in next year’s National HR Services Competition, according to press briefing of the Chongqing Human Resource Services Industrial Park.

As with its first edition, this year’s event will include a three-phased selection of preliminary contests, semi-finals, and finals. The preliminary contests take the format of online quizzes and consists of two rounds, only those who score full marks in Round 1 (Nov. 11 - 16) will be able to advance into Round 2 (Nov. 26 - 28). A total of 48 contestants from Round 2 of the preliminary contests will be selected to compete in the semi-finals, of which only 12 contestants will be then selected via four simultaneous matches and make it to the finals.
The 130,000-yuan cash prize will be disproportionately distributed among the 12 finalists, with 30,000 yuan for the only first-place winner, 15,000 yuan for each of the two second-place winners, 10,000 yuan for each of the three third-place winners, 5,000 yuan each for six Excellence Award winners and two Optimum Mien Award winners.

The first Western China HR Proficiency Competition in 2019 attracted more than 10,000 local and national contestants to showcase their professional skills. Moving into the second year, the competition is expected to gather even more HR talents from around the country, and serve as a regional selective trial for the upcoming National HR Services Competition in April 2020.
This year’s event will be the first-ever national HR services competition organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and the only regional selective trial to be held by two provincial-level regions.

Winners of the 2nd Western China HR Proficiency Competition will also be eligible for recommendation to participate in next year’s National HR Services Competition and compete with the other 90 some HR talents selected from China’s 31 provincial-level regions.
