ILSTC’s 1st Session of Inter-Provincial Joint Conference Held in SW China’s Chongqing

Southwestern China's Chongqing Municipality witnessed the 1st session of the Inter-provincial Joint Conference on Consultation and Cooperation of New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor (ILSTC) on November 17.

The New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor is Chongqing’s major channel to the sea and plays a pivotal role in open development.

Representatives of relevant state ministries and commissions, China's centrally-administered state-owned enterprises, 12 western provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, Hainan Province, and Zhanjiang of Guangdong Province in southern China gathered together to draw a blueprint for the future development of ILSTC.

The purpose of this conference is to fully implement the spirit of the fifth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee and further strengthen inter-provincial consultation and cooperation in the construction of ILSTC.

Chongqing will actively integrate into the "dual circulation" development pattern in which the domestic economic cycle plays a leading role, while the international economic cycle remains its extension and supplement.

Besides, Chongqing will study matters related to major policies, key tasks, key projects, and closer inter-provincial consultation and cooperation in the first year of the 14th Five-Year Plan to promote the construction of ILSTC jointly, thus deepening and consolidating the construction of this corridor.

In addition to leaders from the "13 + 1" provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities that have signed the co-construction agreement of ILSTC, attendees of the conference also comprise representatives from state ministries and commissions as well as enterprises, including the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Transport, the General Administration of Customs, the National Office of Port Administration, China State Railway Group Co., Ltd., China COSCO SHIPPING Corporation Limited, and China Merchants Group (CMG). They discussed the future development of the corridor.

The conference deliberated on important matters such as the working rules of inter-provincial joint conferences, the pilot program of multimodal transport under one single bill of lading, and the construction of public information platforms.

Meanwhile, a signing ceremony was also held for co-building international trade single windows of ILSTC and implementing some major projects.
