2020 Chongqing Unicorn Summit Attracts Over 25,000 People Online, Offline

Chongqing- The 2020 Chongqing Unicorn Summit held in Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality on November 21 during the 2020 Chongqing Talents Conference attracted more than 25,000 people both online and offline.

The 2020 Chongqing Unicorn Summit was held at Chongqing Yuelai International Convention Centre.

Representatives of seventeen unicorn companies gathered at Yuelai International Convention Center.

The 2020 Chongqing Unicorn Summit, with a combination of online and offline forms, pooled more than 25,000 people.

Most unicorn companies participating in the summit have been actively engaged in the new-generation information technologies, including Artificial Intelligent (AI), big data, cloud computing, biomedical technologies such as precision medicine and medical data, as well as new materials such as environment-friendly materials. Those areas are compatible with high-tech and strategic emerging industries, including AI, big data, and the Internet of Things, where Chongqing has developed vigorously in recent years.

During the high-level dialogue session, Zhi Haiyan, Co-founder, and Chairman of a Singaporean company, DECOD, Hu Yinghan, Founder and Chairman of another Singaporean company, Tetmon, and Chen Liang, Vice President of Hangzhou Dt Dream Technology Co., Ltd., shared their views on different topics, in the context of building a new development pattern. They think domestic and foreign markets could boost each other's economy, with the domestic market acts as the mainstay.

Hu said Chongqing and Singapore should work together to grow the depth and breadth of interconnection by attracting more Singaporean unicorn companies to Chongqing, leading corporate technological innovation and driving the entrepreneurial economy. He believes that, with the development of high-tech innovation and digitalization, China will enter a new stage of the era and drive the entire world's economy.

Hu Yinghan, Founder and Chairman of Tetmon, delivered a speech.

"We hope to fully integrate into Chongqing and jointly create the business card of a 'smart city,'" said Chen. "Chongqing has a unique industrial orientation and business environment, which is conducive to build an innovative digitalized city."

Chen Liang, Vice President of Hangzhou Dt Dream Technology Co., Ltd., shared his views at the summit.

Furthermore, they discussed the efforts that unicorn companies should make to develop themselves, foster new business models, improve the industrial chain, and actively integrate into Chengdu and Chongqing's economic circle. Topics of how to improve Chongqing's technological innovation and high-quality economic and social development under the epidemic's impact were also proposed.

They also concluded that unicorn companies should develop themselves and spawn new business models on a larger scale. To this end, representatives of investment institutions and unicorn enterprises visited the Chongqing Economic and Technological Development Zone on November 22 and exchanged ideas with the related heads.

The investment promotion representatives of the Chongqing Economic and Technological Development Zone comprehensively introduced the local business environment and industrial development in an open, innovative, pragmatic, and inclusive manner. The unicorn representatives who participated in the investigation expressed their thoughts and reached a number of cooperation intentions.
