Chongqing- The 2020 Chongqing Talents Conference was wrapped up on November 22, with 1,821 introduced outstanding talents and 267 contracted projects. At the conference, masters and experts from different fields also discuss attracting and cultivating professional talents. At the conference, Wang Jiatu, Vice President of Chengdu Branch, Chinese Academy of Sciences, discussed with iChongqing about talent development, cultivation, and cooperation between the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chengdu-Chongqing area.

Chinese Academy of Sciences is a crucial institute in China, which undertakes many major national scientific and technological infrastructures. Some institute fields have achieved the world’s advanced ranks, entering the first square all over the world. A group of scientists has played a key and backbone role in major national scientific and technological tasks. They are active in the forefront of international science and technology as representatives of my country's scientific and technological circles. Wang Jiatu said, “We should work together to build some national platforms, which include science and education infrastructure, large scientific installations, some leading-edge project platforms, and some national resources, to settle in the Chengdu-Chongqing area.”
