Chongqing has invested about 40.04 billion U.S. dollars, introducing a modern comprehensive transportation system that is smooth, connected, convenient, and efficient.

One of the specific achievements involves the commencement of the construction of over 600 km of high-speed railways. By the end of 2020, the total length of such railways under construction and being completed will reach 1,300 km.

Another achievement includes the lengths of expressways at the beginning of construction and under preliminary preparation, which are over 1,000 km and 1,300 km, respectively. As a result, expressways under construction and being completed will extend to nearly 5,000 km, reaching a record long.

Moreover, finished ordinary trunk roads stretch for more than 10,000 km, of which national highways graded at two and above, and provincial highways graded at three and above, accounting for 90% and 70%, respectively. All of these roads have been paved.

By relying on the optimization of channels and ports, Chongqing has also established a shipping hub in the Yangtze River's upper reaches and welcomed 1,400 km of grade 4 and above channels.

In terms of the aviation industry, Chongqing also sees the establishment of one large and four small civil airports and the opening of 101 international and regional air routes, catalyzing an international aviation hub's construction.
