Chongqing International Trade and Commerce Center One will be one of the top 20 tallest buildings in the world to be completed in 2021, with a height of 458 meters.
The Launch Ceremony of Chongqing International Business District and the Center was held on December 23.
As a lighthouse project of the District, the Center will be 458-meter high, with the building area totaling around 500,000 square meters. It encompasses Class A+ office buildings, a comprehensive shopping center, hotels, etc.
During the ceremony, the Chongqing Port and Logistics Office and the Center signed a strategic agreement, signaling that they will jointly help Chongqing comprehensively integrate into the construction of the Belt and Road, build a platform for international and regional communication and cooperation, and accelerate the development of an inland international logistics hub and a major port.
"Yuzhong District has been giving full play to advantages introduced by China (Chongqing) Pilot Free Trade Zone and China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity," said Huang Yulin, Secretary of Communist Party of China Yuzhong District Committee. "Based on the District's participation in the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, it intensifies the connection between foreign trade and foreign investment, unlocks trade and investment, and comprehensively improves its capability in opening-up."
According to Huang, the next step is to keep introducing investment to the Center, sending out Chongqing's International Business District's business card to the world.
