The Chongqing Two Sessions, Chongqing Municipality's most important meetings held on an annual basis will open in mid-January this year. One is the meeting in the Chongqing Municipal People’s Congress (CPC Chongqing), Chongqing’s top legislative body and the other is Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC Chongqing), Chongqing’s top advisory body.
The 22nd meeting of the Standing Committee of the Fifth Municipal People’s Congress decided that the Fourth Session of the Fifth Chongqing Municipal People’s Congress will be held on January 21, 2021. The duration of the meeting is 5 days.
The agenda of the meeting includes, reviewing and approving the Outline of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) for Economic and Social Development of Chongqing Municipality and the Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035; reviewing and approving reports on the execution of the Plan for Economic and Social Development of Chongqing Municipality 2020 and the Draft Plan for Economic and Social Development of Chongqing Municipality 2021 and, approving the Plan for Economic and Social Development of Chongqing Municipality 2021; reviewing and approving reports on the execution of the Budget 2020 and the Draft Budget 2021, and approving the municipal Budget 2021; hearing and deliberating the work reports of Chongqing Municipal High People’s Court and Chongqing Municipal People’s Procuratorate; and other items.
Furthermore, the 17th meeting convened by the standing committee of the Fifth CPPCC Chongqing Municipal Committee approved the matters related to the Fourth Session of the Fifth CPPCC Chongqing Municipal Committee and decided to hold the Fourth Session of the Fifth CPPCC Chongqing Municipal Committee from January 20 to 24, with a duration of four and a half days.
The Fourth Session of the Fifth Chongqing Municipal People’s Congress will be held on January 21, 2021, with a duration of five days, and the Fourth Session of the Fifth CPPCC Chongqing Municipal Committee will be held from January 20 to 24, 2021, with a duration of four and a half days.
