After the Sichuan-Chongqing provincial data sharing platform has been established, the two places have announced recently to trans-regionally interconnect the government data on ecological protection for the first time and shared the air monitoring data on adjacent areas, according to the Chongqing Big Data Application and Development Administration on January 3, 2020.
Chongqing and Sichuan have announced recently to interconnect the government data on ecological protection trans-regionally.
According to the head of the Administration, the air monitoring data shared mainly includes basic air monitoring stations' basic file information, which will provide data support for both regions' environmental protection departments in jointly investigating air-related pollution sources and controlling atmospheric pollution.
For example, the environmental protection departments of Sichuan's Longchang City and Chongqing's Rongchang District, as neighbors, can directly access the national e-government external network via Sichuan-Chongqing provincial data-sharing platform, and then log in each other's government data catalogs and grant the permission of data transfer. In this way, air monitoring data are shared with each other.
Chongqing Big Data Application and Development Administration has expressed that it will work with its Sichuan counterpart to advance the government data sharing across regions and levels and realize cross-provincial government services.
