In 2020, 54% of Uruguayan beef  (and 59% of the sheep meat) was exported to China. Uruguayan beef offers a combination of elements that is unique in the world: free-range, each cattle has 1 hectare to roam, Angus and Hereford breeds, it is hormone-free and antibiotic-free, grass-fed, low-fat content and rich in healthy Omega-3 fatty acids. It also possesses 100% mandatory traceability.

"Chinese consumers are pleasantly surprised when they learn about the top quality of our products and are showing more and more willing to experience Uruguayan beef and wine, so distributors are keeping up with that demand. Currently, you can find our products in various supermarkets in Chongqing, as well as on many online platforms." Said Ms. Agustina.

Mr. Murasame danced two pieces of Tango with Xie Yu, both composed by Francisco Canaro, the Uruguay Tango violinist, composer, and conductor. Tango is an important part of Uruguayan culture and it was successfully declared as the world's intangible cultural heritage by Uruguay and Argentina in 2009. Besides, people were full of praise for the exhibited wine and have shown great interest in Uruguay, hoping to learn more about its food and culture.
