By RUI HU|Jan 23,2021

Chongqing – On Jan. 21, the Chongqing Foreign Affairs Office (FAO) invited consuls (general), consulate staff members, other diplomats, and representatives from chambers to watch the live braodcasting of Chongqing Two Sessions. After listening to the government work report by mayor Tang Liangzhi, iChongqing conducted an exclusive interview with Mr. Paolo Bazzoni, CICC Chairman.

It is not the 1st time for Paolo to attend Chongqing Two Sessions, he said the Two Sessions presented a clear focus and economic growth. Though the global pandemic brings challenges for all business, the Chongqing government still develop its economy continuously with Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.

Paolo has attended the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle Roundtable with iChongqing in May 2020; he has more insights after this strategy released for its one-year anniversary. According to his answer, CICC has firmly collaborated with Liangjiang New Area in Chongqing while it has established its cooperation with Tianfu New Area in Chengdu. Thus, the chamber has obtained more opportunities and potentials under the twin-city development. For business people, this is a positive initiative made by the government. CICC also has ambitions to expand its membership across China. “We have increased 579 members last year and we are expecting more in 2021”, Paolo said with confidence.
