Latest ‘Name Card’ for Urban Chongqing ④: The Hub Port

Chongqing- "A word-class transfer station with multimodal transport." This is how Chongqing will be defined with its new name card, to build an inland international logistics hub.

There is a place, which gathers commodities and sends them away by rivers and seas in the east, relies on the China Railway Express to connect Asia with Europe in the west, and sees the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor (ILSTC) meet the sea at Qinzhou Port in the south. It is Guoyuan Port, a multimodal transport-branded international trade and logistics hub.

Liangjiang New Area will focus on building the hub by seamlessly connecting it with the golden waterway of the Yangtze River, the ILSTC, and China Railway Express to Europe, deepening its cooperation with ports in Singapore, and promoting the opening of trade in goods to rules, regulations, management, and standards.

Furthermore, the hub will benchmark world-class ports, building smart and green ports, strengthening the port division of labor with reasonable structure and complete functions, and create a port and shipping service system with integrated elements and complete functions.
