Chongqing Int’l Airport Sees Around 350,000 Passengers During Spring Festival Holiday

On February 17, the last day of the 2021 Spring Festival Holiday, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport was estimated to see 90,000 passengers.

During the 2021 Spring Festival Holiday, around 350,000 tourists safely arrived and departed from the Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport.

During the 7-day holiday, the airport spared no effort in epidemic prevention and control. Thanks to newly-added infrared thermometers and luggage sterilizers, around 350,000 tourists safely arrived at and departed from the airport.

As a result of the response to the call for staying put for the Spring Festival Holiday, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport embraced a small number of flights and passengers. Specifically, there were 3,284 inbound/outbound flights, an average of 469 per day; passenger numbers came in at 354,600, an average of 50,700 per day. Places of departure and destinations mainly included Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Sanya, Hangzhou, and Kunming.

During the holiday, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport collaborated with China Southern Airlines, Chongqing Airlines, and Sichuan Airlines to pilot Chongqing-Guangzhou and Chongqing-Shenzhen fast flights. Passengers, who take such flights practically undertaken by the above-mentioned airlines, can freely change/interchange itineraries, conveniently check-in, quickly pass the security check, and enjoy other value-added services.
