Guoyuan Port Sees Annual Rise of 38.5% from January to February

The national logistics hub of Guoyuan Port had a cargo throughput of 3.13 million tons in the first two months this year, which increased by 38.5% year on year, according to Liangjiang New Area on March 13.

At around 10:00 a.m. on the same day, vehicles of Changan Auto and SGMW vehicles were scheduled to be transported from the Yuzui Railway Freight Station to all parts of the country. Wang Jun, head of Yuzui Station of China Railway Chengdu Group Co., Ltd., said that in the first two months of this year, the station had handled nearly 80,000 commercial vehicles, up more than 200% year on year.

Chongqing Guoyuan Port is the largest inland rail-road-water hub port in China.

Yuzui Railway Freight Station is an important logistics hub in Liangjiang New Area, consisting of two station yards in the north and south. The north yard has been completed and put into use, and the south yard is planned to be built into a hub for domestic and international container trains. Now relevant preparatory work is progressing smoothly, and the construction is expected to commence in May this year.

Additionally, the container throughput of Guoyuan Port has also shown substantial growth this year. Data from Chongqing Port Logistics Group showed that Guoyuan Port completed a container throughput of 68,000 TEUs in the first two months, up 60.2% year on year.
