Chongqing- The Municipal Economic and Information Commission announced on March 25th that Chengdu-Chongqing will implement the construction of a demonstration zone for integrated development of the industrial internet.
A few days prior, the jointly formulated ‘Key Points for Construction of an Integrated Industrial Internet Demonstration Zone in the Chengdu-Chongqing Region in 2021’ was released, which details plans to build thirteen secondary nodes for the industrial internet and twenty 5G+Industrial Internet projects.
Focusing on constructing the industrial Internet in Chengdu and Chongqing, both parties will cooperate in five key areas, which focus on accelerating construction in network infrastructure and the development of industrial internet platforms and ecosystems. In addition, security guarantees and industrial support mechanisms will be strengthened.
In terms of network infrastructure construction, the two parties will coordinate to build identification analysis nodes for the industrial internet, accelerate network upgrades for enterprises, and jointly construct a platform for network testing and verification.
As for industrial internet platforms, an integrated public service platform is to be set up in the Chengdu-Chongqing region to gather over 400 related enterprises inside a year and cultivate 20 expert level platforms to promote cloud transformation for 300,000 companies throughout the year.

In the interests of security, a pilot project for the classification and hierarchical management of industrial internet companies is to be launched, while a list of key enterprises and data protection indices will be formulated. A platform for security awareness in Chengdu-Chongqing will go online to share information on monitoring and potential threats.
A Network Security Operations and Service Center is planned for joint construction, while the region will endeavor to create a national-level industrial information security and innovation center.
The two parties will strengthen industrial support by encouraging software companies, industrial enterprises, and scientific research institutes to conduct joint standard research and development in key technologies.
Districts and counties including the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area, Nan'an, Beibei, Dianjiang will strengthen cooperation with Tianfu New Area, Mianyang, Deyang, Luzhou, and Meishan in Sichuan Province, with the target of promoting joint prosperity through the industrial Internet and demonstrating collaboration in the industrial field software.
In constructing an industrial internet ecosystem, Chengdu-Chongqing will formulate the Typical Case Study Collection in the Industrial Internet and ally to strengthen innovation and development experience.
Support will be coordinated through innovation development policies with reliance on carriers such as the Chengdu-Chongqing Industrial Internet Public Service Platform and sub-branch of the National Industrial Internet Big Data Center, which will promote information sharing among enterprises and guide financial institutions in services related to credit and insurance.
