Liangjiang New Area Eyes Signing of Major Modern Service Projects

Chongqing Liangjiang New Area eyed the signing ceremony of 2021 major investment projects in modern service industry on March 29. A total of 14 high-end, high-quality, and high-tech projects from home and abroad were located in Liangjiang New Area, with a total investment of 14.5 billion yuan (about 2.21 billion U.S. dollars), involving high-tech services, modern finance, cross-border trade, screen culture, and others. These projects will boost Liangjiang New Area by building itself into a high-quality development model and an example of quality life.

Many big names established their western and even national headquarters in Liangjiang, New Area, in this signing ceremony. Among them, the SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Services Co., Ltd., a subordinate of the world's largest inspection and testing organization SGS, is poised to set up its western headquarters to coordinate its business development in western China and gradually establish laboratories related to strategic emerging industries.

It is the first joint-venture testing and certification organization in Chongqing to obtain the qualification certificate. "After establishing the western headquarters, we will improve our services to Chongqing market in automobiles, rail transit, and food safety. While improving the local ecosystem of related industries, we will provide better services for Chongqing enterprises to enter the international market," said Du Jiabin, President of SGS China.
