The 2021 legislation plan of the Chongqing Municipal People's Congress includes the decision of the Standing Committee of Chongqing Municipal People's Congress on cooperation in the protection of ecological environment along the Jialing River and regulations of Chongqing on railway safety management. The plan was revealed by the Sichuan Provincial People's Congress and Chongqing Municipal People's Congress.

In late March, the first cooperative legislation project of Sichuan and Chongqing, regulations on optimizing business environment, has been respectively approved by the standing committee meetings of the Sichuan Provincial People's Congress and Chongqing Municipal People's Congress. It marks a good start for the two places' partnership in this field.

The Decision is expected to be submitted for deliberation in 2021 and will keep pace with the relevant legislative work progress of Sichuan Province.

The conference also released the 2021 legislative plan of the Standing Committee of Chongqing Municipal People's Congress. 10 projects have received the first deliberation this year.

The Standing Committee of Chongqing Municipal People's Congress plans to compile regulations on household waste management, traditional Chinese medicine, standardization, and big data development management.

They will also review regulations of Chongqing on the administration of place names and promotion of scientific and technological innovation, measures to implement Law of the People's Republic of China on Land Contract in Rural Areas, and regulations on road transportation management. Moreover, the detailed rules of Chongqing to implement the Electoral Law of the National People's Congress and Local People's Congresses of the People’s Republic of China were approved at the meeting of the Standing Committee of Chongqing Municipal People's Congress held in March 2021.
