Chongqing- The Xiu Lake International Intangible Cultural Heritage Town is located in Xiuhu Park of Bishan District. Built-in the Ming and Qing styles of Eastern Sichuan with a construction area of about 23,000 square meters, the public attraction has incorporated intangible heritage, parent-child experiences, food, accommodation, and study as the core business format.

The intangible heritage town is home to 32 related companies, one national-level master in arts and crafts, and two municipal levels in Chongqing. There are many intangible cultural heritage brands such as micro-carvings by Pan Qihui, micro-sculptures by Hu Zeyu, Kang Yisen handmade leather shoes, while cutting-edge technologies are on view through a virtual reality experience hall, intelligent robots, and automatic vendors.

On the opening day of September 29th, 2020, there were 965,000 live online views. During the Mid-Autumn and National Day holidays, tourists and numerous media outlets flocked to visit and produce reports. Special events have been held, such as Chinese costume shows, parent-child activities, and foreigners' opportunities to learn about intangible cultural heritage.

At present, the Xiu Lake Scenic Area is working hard to create a national 4A-level tourist attraction so that the fine culture and beautiful landscapes will complement each other and display the vitality of ancient skills to the fullest.

On April 11th, the Foreign Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government and Bishan District People’s Government took consular staff based in Chengdu and Chongqing to the Xiu Lake Scenic Area, where they enjoyed the beautiful landscapes and watched a variety show of intangible cultural heritage in the Yunzhuang Teahouse.
