The eight major industrial clusters in Chongqing and 16 key industrial fields in Sichuan will carry out in-depth cooperation, focusing on promoting coordination in four aspects, including region, industries, enterprises, and production factors resources.
Accumulating the successful experience and enabling the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry in the Chengdu-Chongqing region, efforts will be made to build the six systems of network, platform, security, industry, application, and ecology.
Additionally, other efforts include carrying out 19 tasks such as public service platform co-construction, industrial software breakthrough, and industry-financed connection.
In May 2020, Sichuan and Chongqing's economic and information technology authorities signed a strategic cooperation agreement on the Chengdu-Chongqing Industrial Internet Integrated Development Demonstration Zone, said an official at the Chongqing Economic and Information Technology Commission.
The two cities are working together to improve the construction of industrial Internet projects to promote the coordinated development of the manufacturing industry in the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.
In particular, they will leverage their respective strengths in policies, industries, and resources.
By focusing on the connectivity, joint construction and sharing of new infrastructure, complementary cooperation in platform resources, as well as security regulation information sharing, both places will push forward the convergence of industries, science and technology, talent, data, production, and other resources in the region.
According to the demonstration zone construction plan, efforts will be made to form the Chengdu-Chongqing industrial Internet identification and resolution service network and cultivate 20 influential and competitive industrial Internet platforms by the end of 2022.
Meanwhile, Chengdu and Chongqing will promote 500 new projects involving intelligent manufacturing, networked collaboration, custom-tailored production, and service-oriented extension.
Together, they will encourage more than 1,000 industrial Internet service enterprises in the region.
