On the morning of April 30, Chongqing Municipal People's Government held the press conference on the 2021 "100-day Action" for Inspection, Rectification, and Law Enforcement. He Jianping, Deputy Director of Chongqing Emergency Management Bureau, introduced that according to the planning of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee and Chongqing Municipal People's Government, the city will carry out the "100-day Action" to identify risks and hidden dangers, and rectify and deal with violations of laws and regulations in safety production and disaster prevention and control.

It is required that the regular and standardized identification of risks and hidden dangers should be the foundation for the prevention of accidents and control of disasters, effectively addressing issues easily to be ignored in time. Relevant departments need to scientifically formulate the list of items to be inspected, conduct inspections strictly according to the list, and carry out comprehensive inspections.
It is required that effective rectification measures be developed to solve all problems and hidden dangers found out. Enterprises and responsible units with the risks of major accidents and disasters must suspend production/business according to the law and corresponding requirements. Only after the rectification is completed and accepted can the production and operation resume. Meanwhile, the focus should be laid on disaster prevention and control. Relevant entities should be responsible for safety production and disaster prevention and control managed, protected, or operated by them. Enterprises and public institutions of reservoirs, power plants, embankments, railways, roads, electricity, communication and water conservancy projects, water-related projects under construction, integrated transportation hubs, areas prone to mountain torrents, and forest regions should play their roles in disaster prevention and control, clarify accountable people, and rectify and report risks and hidden dangers in time.
It is required that regulators at all levels go to the frontline to severely investigate and punish all kinds of safety production and disaster prevention violations. They are also asked to implement the annual supervision and inspection plans strictly; scientifically prepare relevant work programs; investigate the disciplinary violations of leading Party members in the process of law enforcement and find out the ones to hold accountable for criminal, administrative, and civil liabilities in the safety production accidents; carry out the natural disaster investigation and assessment system; supervise the investigation of typical accidents and disasters.
