Yuzhong District received more than 3.98 million tourists during the holiday by May 3

Many people choose to travel domestically during this May-Day holiday. In China’s Chongqing, famous tourist attractions, such as the Jiefangbei pedestrian street, the Yangtze River Cableway, Hongyadong, and TESTBED 2 (E'ling Cultural and Creative Park) have attracted a large number of tourists. By 24:00 on May 3, Chongqing’s Yuzhong District had received more than 3.98 million visitors and achieved a tourism revenue of 3.04 billion yuan.

 

Visitors from all over the world gathered in the Jiefangbei and Daping Times Paradise Walk. In addition to taking photos, they also enjoyed shopping. Many shopping malls were carrying out discount activities, and the public and tourists came in a continuous stream.

In Jiefangbei Bayi Road food street, the hot weather cannot stop visitors from lining up for authentic Chongqing snacks like hot and sour rice noodles, Chongqing rice balls, and other notable local food. According to the statistics, the first three days of the May-Day holiday, the Jiefangbei business district received more than 2.04 million people, tourists; Daping Times Paradise Walk business district received more than 750,000 tourists.

The tourism market for the whole Yuzhong District is also gradually warming up. Among them, Hongyadong received a total of 275,000 visitors; Yangtze River Cableway received 64,800 visitors; TESTBED 2 received 36,000 visitors; Shancheng Alley received 39,800 visitors.

To better serve the public and tourists, during this May-Day holiday, Yuzhong District timely issued a notice on the prevention and control of epidemics in order to ensure the safety and orderly opening of tourist attractions. Moreover, the latest traffic control information and travel tips from culture and tourism departments were released. Each department, management committees, community staff, volunteers of Yuzhong District were at their positions, stationed in the district's major scenic spots and important shopping areas, and have done a good job of patrol duty with perseverance to enhance the tour experience, guard the public, health, and safety for all tourists.
