Chongqing- The third Western International Conference Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT) is set to occur at the Chongqing International Expo Center from May 20-23rd, where eight themed pavilions are already fully packed with exhibits as they await crowds of fascinated visitors and guests.

International pavilions
The International Pavilion will have two exhibition areas set aside for international cooperation and Fortune 500 multinational companies. The International Cooperation Exhibition will follow the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor in western China and Belt and Road concepts and modeled on a four-directional layout that symbolizes the integration and convergence of multi-modal transportation.
The overall design is based on an international street style that displays the grandeur of the Belt and Road economy and trade and will brim with exotic designs and multi-culturalism. Decorative elements will include containers and cargo ships to show prosperity achieved through Belt and Road trade and economy.
Visitors will have the chance to taste, experience, and purchase from the wide varieties of international specialty products without having to set foot outside the country. The nations of Vietnam, Colombia, and Indonesia are WCIFIT guests of honor this year and will bring local specialty products including coffee, dark chocolate, mango, jam, and vegetable oil from Colombia, durian cake, dried longan, cashew nuts, and sugar from Vietnam, as well as bird's nest from Indonesia.
Chongqing Pavilion unveils open vision
The Chongqing Pavilion has about 5,000 square meters set aside with a comprehensive image exhibition and a national open platform exhibition to showcase the city's strategic positioning, development, results, business environment, and industrial advantages.
A representative has explained that the Comprehensive Exhibition Area is based on an open inland highland featuring the highlights of economic development in Chongqing and a preview into the 14th Five-Year Plan that will promote high-quality development and lifestyle amid magnificent views of lush mountains and clear waters.
Artistic elements will combine unique forms and techniques combining modern sound and light effects, multimedia, video matrices, and virtual reality.

New industrial technologies and products
In the Regional Cooperation Pavilion, provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities from across the country will showcase the achievements of regional cooperation, industry advantages, and key enterprises and their roadmap to deepen cooperation and exchange further as they open ever more to the outside world. Inside the Image Pavilion, a unique decor will feature intelligent sound and light technology and effects.
The Famous Enterprise Pavilion will bring together a large number of state-owned and private enterprises to display their new technologies, products, and applications through modern sound and light technology and intelligent display methods.
Eye-catching names include Suez Group, Hyundai, Ford Motor, COFCO, China Merchants Group, and many other top domestic and foreign enterprises.
Zhifei Biologics will display their newly developed recombinant protein COVID-19 vaccine, China Aluminum will exhibit high-tech products applied in aerospace, and China Merchants Group will showcase smart ports, highways, logistics, manufacturing, and communities among their new technologies.
New intelligent manufacturing technologies will be displayed through innovation.
Healthcare and automobiles
This session of WCIFIT is setting up pavilions for the automobile and big health industries for the first time to showcase the direction of frontline development in modern manufacturing and strategic emerging industries.
The Automobile and Motorcycle Industry Pavilion will mainly display high-end products and technologies covering the entire industrial chain from research and development, design, production, after-sales, and recycling.
There will also be exhibition areas to showcase branded automobiles, motorcycles, smart cars, new technology, new energy vehicles, automobile supplies, and a travel experience area.
The Healthcare Industry Pavilion will focus on displays featuring scientific and technological achievements in the domestic and international health industry, including medical services, products, equipment, nutrition, consultation, and production.
Four sub-exhibition areas will cover health services, women and children’s health, healthy lifestyle, and elderly care, with displays showcasing cutting-edge products, technologies, and achievements in the field of healthcare.

Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle
Construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle has become a national strategy as the economic and social exchange grows ever stronger, and cooperation projects have come to blossom.
The Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle Pavilion has been set up especially for WCIFIT to showcase the advantages and latest results of cooperation, while a double circle has been adopted as the main design concept for the general layout.
A trio of themed exhibition areas will feature historical buildings such as White Emperor City and Wuhou Temple to display the magnificent history of ancient Bashu; National Geographic Ladders and location maps will illustrate construction needs of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, while the blend of intangible heritage will showcase their common culture, economy, and folk customs.
In addition, must-see attractions include Chengdu-Chongqing-themed areas, a VR experience zone, and an interactive cool runner screen.

Motorcycle races make WCIFIT debut
In addition to themed exhibitions, there will also be a rich variety of activities based on hot economic talking points and development trends in the industry. WCIFIT will hold over 100 such events through conferences, exhibitions, competitions, and discussions.
At the same time, the 2021 CCI-New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor International Cooperation Forum will be held, bringing together heavyweight academic guests to explore questions on domestic and international business and politics through keynote speeches.
WCIFIT will hold a series of investment promotion and negotiation activities, while more than 500 investment cooperation projects will be launched, providing wide opportunities for information exchange and cooperation for professional visitors and business people participating in the conference.
The Gymkhana Motorcycle Skills Competition will be held for the first time at WCIFIT to enhance the atmosphere of participation. Drivers will compete as they maneuver around stakes and speed through tracks making figures of eight and circular patterns.
