Chongqing- At the Third Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade, Yubei District has signed on five major investment promotion projects with a total investment of 5.35 billion yuan (about 840 million U.S. dollars). Fortune Global 500 enterprises are among the attracted projects.

Covering such fields as new materials, new logistics, intelligent manufacturing, and big data, the five major projects include the Panasonic vacuum energy-saving new material R&D and production base, the Conch (Sichuan & Chongqing) logistics distribution center, the Siguan precision structural parts production base, the Shun Shing silicone electronics project and the CNKI knowledge big data center.
As one of the world's largest cement groups with an annual cement production capacity of 370 million tons, Anhui Conch Cement Co., Ltd. has 179 subsidiaries and factories in 19 provinces and cities in China as well as nine other countries and regions such as Indonesia, Myanmar, and Laos.
With an investment of 3 billion yuan in the Conch (Sichuan & Chongqing) logistics distribution center, whose site was selected at Luoqi Town, Yubei District, the company will build the project of a comprehensive logistics distribution center focusing on the logistics distribution of green building materials and integrating such functions as the production of commercial concrete and prefabricated buildings, and regional headquarters settlement.
Based on the fruitful communication in the early stage, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), currently the largest literature database in China, will invest in the establishment of the knowledge big data innovation center project with the focus on the knowledge big data center and the intelligent big data technology of CNKI in Xiantao International Big Data Valley.
CNKI will help Yubei District attract outstanding talent at home and abroad, carry out research on big data technology and education services, make achievements in supporting industrial chains such as automobiles and electronic information, and even assist Chongqing to build a sci-tech innovation center with nationwide influence.
