From June 21 to July 5, a light show to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of CPC will be displayed on multiple LED screens in Chongqing. It showcases the development and changes of Chongqing, and celebrates the centenary of the Communist Party of China. iChongqing have live-streamed the light show on June 22, 8 pm to guide the audience to watch the show in the famous Qiansimen Bridge.
Light Show in Chongqing
At 8:00 p.m., people in Hongyadong Scenic Area could enjoy the promotional film for the celebration staged on the ten LED screens on skyscrapers in Jiangbeizui across the Jialing River.

The film was divided into four chapters, with the first shown in the form of subtitles “Warmly Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China,” “A Magnificent Journey for a Hundred Years,” “It Remains Unshakable and Becomes even Firmer as Time Goes by,” and “Long Live the Great Communist Party of China.”

The second chapter rolled back from 2021 to 1921 and demonstrated the key historical moments such as the founding of the Communist Party of China in 1921, the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949, and the reform and opening up in 1978.
It was followed by the third chapter, “The New Era and A New Journey,” which revolved around the industry, history, culture, and science and technology in modern times.
The fourth chapter showed how the Party has strived after a lofty ideal for the past century, set sail on a new journey, and again celebrated the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China to echo the beginning.

Besides the displays in Jiangbeizui, the decorative lighting fixtures, including the LED screen in Guanyinqiao, the largest of its kind in Asia, and those over WFC in Jiefangbei, also presented the slogan “Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China” and the moving party flag.
Chongqing made full use of its lighting resources for the light show and saw its geographical features with rivers and mountains highlighted. The light was cast mainly over the two rivers and four banks and in several urban areas in an interacted manner. The light show will last until July 5.
