“Through using the Industrial Internet data, we can pre-judge any fault of equipment so that we can nip them in the bud effectively,” said Liu Rong, deputy general manager of the Chongqing branch of China Datang Corporation Ltd.

The equipment remote monitoring and early warning system of Pengshui Hydropower Station at the company raised the alarm on June 13. There was a water leakage in a unit of the hydropower station.
Liu said, after inspection, the problem did exist, and the staff carried out timely maintenance.
“The system is supported by Industrial Internet technology," said Liu. "It seems like a ‘health wristwatch,’ providing timely and accurate diagnosis of power station equipment.”

Industrial Internet Platform
Additionally, along with Chongqing Keyuan Energy Technology Development Limited Company, the Chongqing branch of China Datang Corporation Ltd. has set up Huineng Industrial Internet Platform.
The platform enables digital collection methods such as live video, audio, temperature, and deformation to collect data while monitoring equipment. These data include safety management and control, intelligent video analysis, equipment degradation analysis, and earth disaster risk early warning at the power station production site.

"In a word, it makes equipment 'speak,'" said Liu.
“In the past, the production data of enterprises were isolated and scattered, but now Industrial Internet platforms make it possible to gather all data directionally and orderly, realizing the full penetration of information integration,” said Pan He, director of the production and operation department at the Chongqing branch of China Datang Corporation Ltd.
Empowered continuously by the Huineng Industrial Internet Platform, the “Smart Power Plant” application achieves some results. This involves completing a multi-energy remote control center, which can provide digital integration for the intensive control and management of regional power stations.
