SCO Foreign Guests Amazed by Chongqing Smartization

Chongqing- “The way Chongqing is developing its digital economy, artificial intelligence, smart technologies and the way it is helping to have a smart and intelligent life will inspire everyone,” said Muhammad Junaid, Second Secretary of Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, on the visit to the “One Day of Smart Life” Pavilion in Lijia Smart Park on August 24.

As part of the Smart China Expo 2021 and China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization Forum on the Digital Economy Industry, foreign guests visit smart pavilions in Lijia Smart Park displaying Chongqing’s achievements of smartization. The foreign guests invited are Muhammad Junaid, Second Secretary of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to China, Vugur Panahov, Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to China, Farid Damirli, First Secretary of the Embassy of Azerbaijan to China, and Sezgin Taskin, Business Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey to China.

Guests group visit Smart Life Pavilion, Intellectual Studio Pavilion, and Smart Art Pavilion in which different applications of daily scenes are displayed.

Mr. Junaid comes with his wife Misbah Rafique and his three-year-old daughter. When asked about the feedback to visit Smart China Expo 2021, Junaid said: “It was one of the biggest and one of the greatest Expo on the smart economy. There were a lot of things to learn like we learned how digital technologies could be used in the health sector, education; how it can improve our lifestyles, our agriculture, our environment, and our security. one of the takeaways of my visit to Chongqing is to promote digitalization, to promote more cooperation with China.” He told the journalist that they plan to revisit Chongqing in October to coordinate the establishment of the sister city between Chongqing and Karachi and the sister province between Chongqing and Balochistan. He also said that as the bridge capital of the world, Chonqing impressed him greatly, “especially the view on Nanshan and the World Financial Center.”
