Digital technology assists high-quality development
Suggestions for Chongqing were mainly from the perspective of digital transformation.
"SAP is a German initiator and advocate of Industry 4.0, so we will use digital technology and services to actively assist the construction of the industrial Internet in Chongqing, accelerate high-quality development in manufacturing, and create a sustainable industrial chain." Huang added.
As the Chongqing economy develops rapidly with solid foundations in the manufacturing industry, SAP has been deeply involved for many years and regards the city as a key area for the company's business layout in China.
In recent years, SAP has served many Chongqing enterprises in fields such as automobiles, parts, electro-mechanics, micro-electronics, offshore wind power, and new energy.
Collaboration drives smart transformation
SAP joined forces with the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce, Chongqing Xiyong Comprehensive Bonded Zone, and Chongqing Houhou Technology to establish the SAP Chongqing Intelligent Manufacturing Joint Innovation Center in November of 2019.
Then in September 2020, SAP participated in the Chongqing Smart Expo, where they demonstrated their end-to-end digital supply chain solutions to the enthusiast reception of industry.
" SAP intends to further participate in the overall development of Chengdu and Chongqing, and cooperate with local government to empower economic development and technological innovation." Dr. Huang added.
Through the joint establishment of an innovation center in Chongqing, the awareness of digital transformation among corporate managers is to be enhanced, while efforts to cultivate talent in the field will be strengthened.
"At the same time, SAP will join hands with partners in the joint construction of smart transportation systems and port logistics, as well as to further deepen international exchange and cooperation in the Chengdu-Chongqing region."
During the interview, Dr. Huang shared his impressions of Chongqing and the opportunities he expects to arise in the future as the city races towards smart industrialization.
"Chongqing is a charming city with long-standing Bayu culture. It's also the youngest municipality in China and exudes vigor and vitality. SAP is very willing to share our experience, advice, and suggestions to assist enterprises in their course of digital transformation, promote integrated development in advanced manufacturing and service industries, and support the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle."
The year 2021 marks the beginning of the 14th Five-Year Plan, during which time SAP will strive to create a new model for Sino-European cooperation, promote the construction of a new digital ecosystem, and achieve positive results in opening up and the "golden key" that is the domestic and international dual cycles.
