Chongqing- A total of 11 activities of the Diaoyucheng Tourism Cultural Festival and the 1st Art Festival of Bashu Youth will be held in Hechuan District from September to December, according to a press conference Monday.

It aims to further promote the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and Bashu cultural and tourism corridor. Activities including calligraphy and seal cutting exhibitions, a half marathon, mountaineering, harvest-themed events, performances, and cultural and tourism experience activities promoted cultural exchange between youths in Chengdu and Chongqing.

The opening ceremony of the cultural festival will be held on November 12 in Hechuan District. More than ten universities in Chengdu and Chongqing have been invited to participate in the 1st Art Festival of Bashu Youth. In addition, the 11th Chongqing calligraphy and seal cutting exhibition will be held.

From now on, university students studying in Sichuan and Chongqing can visit Diaoyucheng and Laitan ancient town for free with their student identity cards until the end of this year.
Developing Bashu cultural tourism corridor together by Sichuan and Chongqing is a practical need and a critical route to realizing integrated cultural tourism in the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, more than the inheritance of Bashu culture.
