The 2nd Jiefangbei International Consumption Carnival Kicks Off

Chongqing- The Second Jiefangbei International Consumption Carnival opened in Southwestern China's Chongqing Municipality on October 29, with the theme of International Style, Fashion Trend.

It aims to build Jiefangbei and Chaotianmen area into a world-renowned business district and Yuzhong District a core area of international consumption center by introducing more good commercial resources.

Since 2019, Yuzhong District has been home to more than 160 brands with their first stores in Chongqing, southwestern China, and the country. Up to now, more than 270 world-renowned brands, including Adidas Brand Center, Air Jordan Level 1, NIO House, and Heytea, are available in the district.

More than one hundred directors of trendy brands, shopping centers, and international commercial associations gathered at the Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street in Yuzhong District.

Representatives from brand companies such as Orchard International, Shenzhen Hemei, and ARA Asset Management, international organizations such as International Enterprise Singapore, Hong Kong Trade Development Council Chongqing Office, and representatives of foreign consulates in Chongqing such as the United Kingdom and Canada and World Financial Center (WFC), Raffles City Chongqing attended the international brand exchange meeting.

At the meeting, the Jiefangbei central business district administrative committee and Orchard International Group signed a cooperation framework agreement involving decision-making consultation, brand introduction, operation management, urban renewal, and investment and trade.

In the sharing session, a keynote speaker from Jones Lang LaSalle addressed the topic of ways to build the core area of an international consumption center city. Thanks to the location advantage and industrial foundation, Yuzhong District has attracted more brands in recent years, and the sales of luxury goods have continued to increase. Famous brands, including Singapore-based SPACElogic, Decathlon, MADE IN UK, carried out brand promotion.

In addition, a batch of first store brands was signed to open in Yuzhong District, injecting new vitality into the commercial development. For example, HARMAY at the Guotai Plaza, SUNAR Living at the WFC, Ymatou cross-border e-commerce duty-free shop at Jiefangbie, and a brand new Decathlon's first store in the western region to open soon.
