On October 26, the launching ceremony of Chongqing's 100-day countdown celebration to the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games kicked at Danzishi Plaza.
As a part of the celebration events, the "100 Days Countdown to the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics" and the "Chongqing Winter Sports 101 Students' Skiing Public Welfare Open Day" activities were held in Chongqing Sunac Snow Park on the same day. Ice clubs from 10 universities in Chongqing participated in the event to welcome the Winter Olympic Games.
Chinese Olympic champions, athletes, and coaches including Yu Hong, Minister of the Technical Department of the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee, Li Jiajun, Ambassador for the Promotion of Chinese Ice and Snow Sports, Shen Xue, President of the Chinese Figure Skating Association, Zhao Hongbo, Chief Coach of the Chinese Figure Skating Team, and other Winter Olympic stars, sent wishes by video to support the Beijing Winter Olympics and Chongqing ice and snow sports.

Chongqing's ice and snow sports have been rapidly developed. At present, the city has 15 ice and snow sports venues, including two indoor ski resorts, the public can enjoy ice and snow sports throughout the year, the city's annual participation in ice and snow sports population has reached one million people. This event not only fully demonstrates the enthusiasm of the city to welcome the Beijing Winter Olympics and the encouraging results of the development of ice and snow sports in recent years, but also will further stimulate the enthusiasm of the public to participate in ice and snow sports, help to achieve the goal of 'driving 300 million people to participate in ice and snow sports', to let more people know and love the Winter Olympics, and help to build a strong sports city, said Zhang Xin, deputy director-general of Chongqing Sports Bureau.

More than 100 students from 10 universities participated
More than 100 students from 10 universities, including Chongqing University, Chongqing University of Science and Technology, and Chongqing Normal University, cheered for Chinese ice and snow sports and cheered for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, as well as for ice and snow sports in Chongqing.

The city has made a series of explorations with the vision of the Winter Olympics and international teaching standards to promote the construction of ice and snow projects in Chongqing as well.
On October 20, the first National Professional Qualification Evaluation for Skiing Instructors in Chongqing was held at Chongqing Sunac Snow Park, with 35 participants from different cities.
Chongqing Shuren Bowen Primary School has carried out ice and snow classes and weekend camps with Chongqing Sunac Snow World, and some colleges and universities, have ice and snow open classes and college tournaments in the Sunac Snow World too.
