24 Agreements Signed! Chongqing Delegations Reach Fruitful Results at CIIE

The Chongqing Investment and Trade Cooperation Forum held on November 5 witnessed 24 cooperation agreements between Chongqing with multiple companies, including Air Products, Danone, Dow Chemical, and YouRace Digital HK.

The forum was hosted by Chongqing Municipal People's Government and organized by Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce at the fourth China International Import Expo.

A modern international metropolis

With the purpose of building a new model for high-quality development and high-quality life, Chongqing is now accelerating the construction of an international, green, smart, and modern humanistic metropolis and striving to create an important growth point and driving force for China's high-quality development.

"Chongqing presents broad prospects and infinite opportunities in the future." Zhang Yongwu, secretary of the Leading Party Group and director of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce, introduced on the forum that Chongqing is building a science and technology innovation center with national influence and the Chengdu-Chongqing comprehensive science center, and promoting the construction of Western (Chongqing) Science City, to make Chongqing become an incubation area for more major scientific and technological achievements as well as an important innovation hub of China.

Motivated by the strategy of constructing the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, enterprises have a positive outlook on Chongqing's future development advantages. They have expressed a desire to actively promote investment and business operations in Chongqing and share the development opportunities brought by the new round of Western Development Strategy.

This forum attracted 37 Fortune Global 500 enterprises and leading multinational companies, foreign agencies and institutions, and important business associations to participate in. Some of the companies signed 24 trade and investment cooperation agreements with Chongqing, including 19 investment projects (9 foreign investment projects) which involve the sectors of manufacturing, new energy, software and information technology service, intelligent technology, and bonded processing, and five trade projects which cover the products such as new materials, frozen meat, and milk powder.
