Chongqing- Affected by the pandemic, the Expo 2020 Dubai UAE opened on October 1, 2021. "Chongqing Day" of China Pavilion kicked off in Dubai and Chongqing on December 7, 2021, adopting an online and offline mixed mode to carry out activities.

At Chongqing venue, Executive Director, Expo 2020 Dubai Bureau, Najeeb Mohammed Al-Ali, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to China, Consular Officers from multiple countries in Chongqing, domestic and foreign business associations as well as business representatives attended the opening ceremony.

In the meanwhile, the project signing ceremony, Cloud Computing World Expo, Chongqing culture&tourism promotion, investment promotion, Western China (Chongqing) Science City promotion, art performances, and other colorful activities were also launched.
At the Expo 2020 Dubai site, Chongqing promotional videos, Chongqing tourism promotional videos, and Western China (Chongqing) Science City promotional videos are played in three languages: Chinese, Arabic, and English to introduce Chongqing's economy and society to foreign dignitaries and businessmen visiting China Pavilion. Chongqing's development vitality and humanistic spirit are showcased to the world in Dubai.

At Chongqing site, a Sichuan-Chongqing specialty commodity exhibition is held at Guanyinqiao pedestrian street, one of the top five CBD in Chongqing, from December 7 to 9 to showcase and promote products made in Chongqing, including new energy vehicles, electric motorcycles, electronic and information products, agricultural products, as well as a cultural and creative product.

Fruitful economic and trade achievements
Over 500 enterprises in Chongqing participated in this event online and offline, directly negotiated with more than 1000 enterprises from both home and abroad, reaching multiple trades and investment cooperation agreements, nearly 5-billion yuan projects were signed. The successful holding of the "Chongqing Day" has provided a platform for the world to understand Chongqing better and help Chongqing better integrate into the world and deepen economic and trade exchanges and cooperation with other countries.
