Chongqing Culture and Tourism Promotion in Shenzhen Concluded

From December 7 to 8, Chongqing Culture and Tourism Promotion in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area 2021 was held in Shenzhen. Under the theme "A Land of Natural Beauty, A City with Cultural Appeal," the promotion aims to enhance the image of Chongqing's cultural and tourism brands, better promote the cooperation between the two cities in culture, tourism, and commerce, and stimulate the potential of cultural and tourism consumption between the two cities.

Flash mob setting off a craze of Bayu style

Early winter in Shenzhen is warm. On December 7, staff from 28 districts and counties and employees from 18 cultural and tourism enterprises of Chongqing visited the colorful Shenzhen Window of the World, the integrated shopping center Coco Park Shenzhen and the bustling Marine Park. Led by the head of Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, they visited Shenzhen and guests there to Chongqing on behalf of the hospitable people in Chongqing. The folk song Beaming with Joy at Sunrise played on suona, a Chinese double-reed horn, was heard first. The true feelings of the player are impressive. The Work Songs of the Yangtze Boat Trackers enables the locals in Shenzhen to experience Chongqing's unique culture of boat trackers, and the hand-waving dance Glittering expresses the hospitality and sincerity of Chongqing people to the fullest extent. Inheritors of Mudong folk songs were singing happily in a loud voice, allowing the audience to feel the simple happiness of labor. At dusk, spicy hotpot-themed performances were staged. These folk songs with resounding, clear, and melodious voices and folk dances with distinctive Bayu features made the audience soak up the cheerful atmosphere and aroused a deep longing for a visit to Chongqing.

To attract the local guests, representatives from Chongqing waved such cartoon images as Huoguowa (lit. brother hotpot), Hongyemei (lit. sister red leaf), and Xuebaobao (lit. baby snow) as well as banners with words like "Welcome to Chongqing" and "Chongqing, An Ideal Tourist Destination." Quite a few people were attracted to take photos and shoot videos, and some residents participated in the hand-waving dance. What a bustling scene! Some online influencers in Shenzhen also gathered on the spot and recorded the whole flash mob to better promote Chongqing's cultural and tourism resources to the locals. As the most tourist-friendly city, the internet-famous Chongqing set off a craze of Bayu style through a flash mob in the Greater Bay Area!

Wonderful promotion displaying Bayu features

The Chongqing Culture and Tourism Promotion mainly comprised the promotional event and the cultural and tourism flash mob. During the promotional event on the afternoon of December 8, representatives of Chongqing's urban areas and northeast and southeast areas introduced their localities' cultural and tourism characteristics. Those from Wulong District, Simian Mountain, Mount Jinfo, and the scenic regions in Fuling District promoted and interacted with Chongqing's rich natural landscapes and resources. Through the promotion event, the attendees understood the different features of Chongqing, including the magnificent Three Gorges and the graceful Wuling Mountain and the fantastic mountain city landscapes and the bustling main urban areas. The all-around and multi-dimensional promotion forms and contents allow the guests to feel Chongqing's historical and cultural charm. Qin Dingbo, deputy director of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, made a speech. He invited travel agencies in Shenzhen and friends from all parts of the world to Chongqing for researching and sightseeing to facilitate cooperation and jointly create a better future!

Seven representatives from Chongqing also introduced the latest status of Chongqing's cultural and tourism development to the guests engaged in Shenzhen's cultural and tourism industry and the invited media and promoted a number of Chongqing tourism routes on site.
