Chongqing is Able to Pilot Green Buildings in China丨Deputy’s Motion

Chongqing- With huge demands for construction, Chongqing can provide a good experience for the application of green building standards, said Deng Hua, Deputy to the Chongqing Municipal People's Congress from the construction industry during an interview with iChongqing on 16th. January.

Science and technology innovation 

Deng Hua is the chairman of Chongqing Hewei Technology Company, a subsidiary corporation of Kingho Group, which produces the world's leading functional materials. The company has independently developed the national high-tech product of thermally dimmable glass, which can save energy in a simple way. 

In this aspect, Deng brought a motion about technology innovation to Chongqing Two Sessions this year, focusing on the innovation of small and medium-sized science and technology enterprises. 

Deng suggests that the government should pay more attention to sci-tech innovation construction in the future, promote the implementation of small and medium-sized growth projects, and bring the small and medium-sized companies confidence and passion for innovation. 

Green buildings infrastructure 

Regarding the development of green buildings, Deng said that Chongqing has a lot of advantages in this field. "Chongqing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development has been doing a good job in constructing green buildings over the years," said Deng, "In green buildings, whether it is energy efficiency or architectural industrialization, it should be considered as a good example across the country."

Deng believes that Chongqing has a large and broad space for construction so that it can provide a good reference for the pilot application of green building standards, with better application scenarios in the market.

Deng pointed out that Chongqing's universities and academic centers also accelerate the development of green buildings. "We have a large number of talents who have been engaged in the research and survey of green construction for many years, which help Chongqing's construction in many ways," he said.

Chengdu-Chongqing cooperation in transportation 

In response to the plan for the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, Kingho Group will also focus on science and technology innovation in transportation and layout innovation studios in both regions. 

For example, the company works with the scientific and technological talents of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China for developed road CT vehicles. 

As transportation is the key to economic development in the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, breakthroughs have been made at the beginning of 2022, such as the release of the Multi-level Rail Transit Plan for Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle and the opening of the Chengdu-Ziyang-Chongqing Expressway, etc.

"The Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Belt needs to interact," said Deng. "I think the talents and teams of Chongqing can bring the experiences in construction to other cities."
