Immersing in a Graffiti Street of Chongqing Art Park

The graffiti street is an important landmark of the Jiulong Art Culture Peninsula, Chongqing. In recent days, citizens and tourists have noticed a new view of the graffiti walls on the sides of the street while passing by Sichuan Fine Arts Institute (SCFAI) at Huangjueping in Jiulongpo District. Students have retraced the fading lines with paintbrushes, making the abstract and semi-abstract patterns clearer.

As an important part of the Yangtze River Culture and Art Bay Area, Jiulong Art Culture Peninsula will be built into Chongqing Art Park, which is distinctive globally and the only one of its kind in China. The park is designed to present a beautiful riverside scene with culture and art as the soul. Through the boundaries of mountains, rivers, and the urban area, Jiulong Peninsula will highlight a Land of Natural Beauty · a City with Cultural Appeal. More elements of fine arts will be applied to urban construction to enhance the city's aesthetic flavor and artistic texture.

With the debut of the Yangtze River Lighthouse in 2021, you can enjoy a more attractive view when entering Jiulong Art Culture Peninsula from Yangjiu Road or Jiubin Road. In the first half of last year, the street-facing facade of buildings starting from the Railway Primary School and ending at Chongqing 501 Art Base and the gate of SCFAI were upgraded to reproduce the cultural vitality of the graffiti street. The social, cultural, and artistic value of the old art painting street will further enhance the strong influence of Jiulong Art Culture Peninsula.

At present, a mural is being painted on the wall of the cement slope connecting Yangjiu Road and Longyin Road. Before the past Spring Festival, the pattern of a giant flying eagle had appeared in the background of the mural with blue sky and white clouds, showing the development ambition of Jiulong Art Culture Peninsula. On one side of the mural are abstract motifs showcasing the progress of Chongqing's industrial history. The large mural is equivalent to an extension of the artistic style of the old art painting street, making Jiulong Art Culture Peninsula bring ubiquitous unique visual enjoyment to citizens and tourists in the future.
