A Scuba Diving Base Unveiled in Downtown Chongqing

Chongqing's first open-water scuba diving training base recently opened to the public in Shapingba District, built by Seawolf International Diving Club and the Sports Bureau of Shapingba District. Now, for the first time, residents in Chongqing have a chance to become certificated divers.

The training base is located in Jiangjiayuan in Zhongliang Town in Shapingba District. It has a water area of over 20,000 square meters, a maximum depth of 40 meters, visibility of 6-10 meters, and an average water surface temperature of around 25-30 degrees Celsius between June and October. The base has eight diving instructors and one divemaster who all hold national diving instructor certificates.

The club provides four kinds of service: international diver certification, domestic- and foreign-theme diving tours, diving equipment sales and maintenance, and diving photography.

"We will introduce water sports such as kayaking to make it a base that provides diving experience and water amusement, and that brings fun to more residents," added a club representative.
