The webinar, combined with live and recorded broadcasts, will demonstrate the poverty reduction experience of Chongqing and the successful practices of rural revitalization, expecting to inspire the experts in Uzbekistan and provide a  reference for poverty reduction in the SCO countries.

Jiang Tianbao, Vice Director of the National Rural Revitalization Administration of China, said, "China's poverty alleviation and rural revitalization have both scientific design and rich local practice. Chongqing is one of the main battlegrounds for poverty alleviation in China. It has successfully lifted all 1.906 million rural poor people out of poverty, forming many typical practices and successful cases."

The SCO comprises eight member states, namely the Republic of India, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the People's Republic of China, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Russian Federation, and the Republic of Tajikistan, and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In recent years, Chongqing has been closely cooperating with the SCO in the fields of economy, trade, and people-to-people and cultural exchange.

It is understood that from January to April this year, the total import and export volume between Chongqing and Uzbekistan was about 94.3 million yuan($14.1 million), a year-on-year increase of 71.9 percent. The main commodities exported from Chongqing to Uzbekistan are air-conditioning parts, motorcycles, and scooters.
