Chongqing- Chongqing will hold the Fourth Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT) from July 21 to 24, 2022, and the 2022 China-Singapore (Chongqing) Connectivity Initiative International Land-Sea Trade Corridor(CCI-ILSTC) Cooperation Forum will be held simultaneously on July 22, a news conference announced today in Chongqing.
2022 CCI-ILSTC Forum to be held at the opening ceremony
Under the theme of "Joining Hands with the West for a Brighter Future," the 4th WCIFIT will be held online and offline, with special exhibitions, summit forums, and investment and trade activities. Mexico will be the guest country, and Sichuan Province and Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region will be the guest provinces. There are 12 exhibition halls with an exhibition scale of 160,000 square meters.

During the Fair, eight conferences or forums, including the opening ceremony and the 2022 CCI-ILSTC International Cooperation Forum, the 2022 Forbes China Urban Consumption Development Forum, the China Service Industry Cooperation Forum, and the China (Chongqing) Cross-border E-commerce Forum, will be held simultaneously. There are also seven investment and trade activities, including the Significant Project Signing Ceremony, Foreign enterprises' Trip to Chongqing, and Investment in western China.
As one of the highlight events of the 4th WCIFIT, the 2022 CCI-ILSTC International Cooperation Forum will discuss in-depth how to make better use of the ILSTC to promote the flow and aggregation of cross-regional resources and industries and to expand the path of economic and trade cooperation under the Belt and Road.
China (Chongqing) Cross Border E-Commerce Fair will open
As an international event in western China, the 4th WCIFIT brings together high-end resources. The Fair upgrades with high-end platforms, including the China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) and the China (Chongqing) Cross Border E-Commerce Fair (CCBEC), which will open simultaneously for the first time. Event topics cover green development, digital economy, consumption of new trends, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) cross-border trade, and other fields.
A total of 899 enterprises from 24 countries or regions and 25 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities in China have signed up. Fortune 500 enterprises will bring brand-new products and technologies to the 4th WCIFIT. eBay, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Ailesco, Jumia, and other cross-border e-commerce players like Alibaba International Station and JD.com will also debut.

In addition, the 4th WCIFIT's economic and trade exchanges will be more pragmatic. Through innovative pre-exhibition supply and demand docking, it will push exhibitors and project information for participating provinces, cities, and enterprises in advance, making the WCIFIT an open, mutually beneficial economic and trade cooperation platform in the western region.

"High-level professional forums, summits, and fairs will create opportunities for participants to conduct global economic and trade negotiations, attract investment, and realize regional openness and collaboration," said Wang Jue, deputy director of Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce and executive deputy director of the Executive Committee Office of the WCIFIT. "At the same time, cutting-edge new technologies, new products, and new models will also appear in professional exhibition halls."
The 12 themed pavilions are full of highlights for citizens and foreigners in Chongqing. The spectator can experience the most cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements in China, purchase the latest cross-border products, and experience exciting events in a one-stop experience.
The Chongqing Pavilion will bring the most technologically advanced naked-eye 3D, aerial imaging, holographic electronic sand table, immersive experience hall, interactive robotic arm, etc., presenting Chongqing's locally-made high-end products and technologies. CRRC will bring the first straddle-type monorail developed in China, which realizes the dream of Chongqing people to "climb over mountains as if walking on flat ground."
Mexico, the guest country of the 4th WCIFIT, will also bring Latin American-style household items and flavored foods. Delegations from Hungary, Slovakia, Russia, Uruguay, Laos, and other countries will display beauty products, exquisite handicrafts, and unique delicacies for the public.
