Photo Exhibition Staged in Chongqing to Celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Hong Kong’s Return

Chongqing - The Chongqing Liaison Unit of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region stages a touring exhibition at the Jiefangbei pedestrian street, Yuzhong District of Chongqing, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland, which is open free to the public from Nov. 4 to 13.

With the theme of "Forge Ahead for 25 years and Embark on a New Journey," the exhibition presents more than 180 photos to show Hong Kong's successful implementation of "One Country, Two Systems."

The exhibition is rich in pictures and texts, showing the development and achievements of Hong Kong in the last 25 years. The exhibition shows that Hong Kong actively participates in the country's reform, opening up, and integrating into the overall national development.

Li Wan-in, Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Chengdu, introduced that under the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25), Hong Kong is on course to enhance its advantages in eight fields, such as international finance, shipping, trade, international aviation hub, international innovation and technology center, and Sino-foreign cultural and artistic exchange center.  

"Hong Kong's 2022 Policy Address released on Oct. 19 highlighted various measures to promote economic growth and attract enterprises and talents. We hope to introduce Chongqing companies to develop and list in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong government will allocate 30 billion Hong Kong dollars to set up a "co-investment fund" to introduce and invest in enterprises settled in Hong Kong," said Li.

"In the future, we plan to strengthen the economy and cultural cooperation with Chongqing and its districts and countries," Li added.
