Xinglong Town covers an area of 93.5 square kilometers and has a population of 34,000. The perfect natural conditions make it a high-quality fruit and vegetable base. With the help of digital agricultural management, labor costs can be reduced, pests and diseases can be effectively prevented and controlled, and production efficiency and quality can be improved.

The smart seedling factory in Xinglong Town covers an area of 100,000 square meters and includes IoT greenhouses, planting lines, grafting and healing workshops, lighting systems, temperature control systems, water and fertilizer-integrated digital management and control systems, and more. The seedling factory can produce 150 million seedlings of vegetables, flowers, fruit trees, and other crops every year; after the seedlings are transplanted to the farmland, the staff can intuitively see information such as crop types, soil, insects in the smart agriculture center, to achieve accurate and efficient management.

Cultural Tourism

To develop rural tourism, the residents of Xinglong Town used local materials to repair their houses. One of the repaired places is called Lichao Ancient Town, with 22 rural homes and 39 households. 

Among them, three art galleries are innovatively designed: one of them expresses the fun of fieldwork and the joy of harvest; another shows the appearance of rural Chongqing in the 1970s and 1980s; and in the Fiber Art Museum, the creators want to use weaving to present the connection and concern between people and between people and things. All of them are created by the teachers of the Sichuan Fine Art Institute.
