Blessing Activities Celebrated for Spring Festival in Chongqing Fengdu

Chongqing- The First Fengdu Blessing Culture Festival opened on January 23, the second day of China's Lunar New Year. Held amid Chinese New Year, this festival conveyed Chinese people's vision for a better life and wished for families and friends.

Colorful lights and shadows illuminated Fengdu County on both sides of the Yangtze River into a gorgeous picture at night. As the blessing bells rang through the sky, the phoenix, an auspicious bird covered in fire, slowly rose from the north bank of the Yangtze River, lightening the entire Fengdu city.

The Fengdu Blessing Cultural Festival runs through the Chinese lunar calendar from January 23 to February 21. It is divided into six major sections, with 23 intriguing activities. Citizens could watch shows, listen to music, shop, and do other blessing activities to gather the New Year's flavor and joy.

Fengdu occupies a unique position in Chinese traditional culture. Holding the Blessing Cultural Festival will show the charm of traditional Chinese culture during the Chinese New Year, promoting the local culture and tourism industry's prosperity and injecting cultural impetus into economic and social development.
