Chongqing - The Chongqing Youth Fencing Championship took place at Chongqing International Expo Center in Southwest China’s Chongqing on February 11.

A total of 500 young fencers in Chongqing signed up for the two-day competition, and they were categorized into five groups by age to fight for the individual and team championships in the sabre, epee, and foil.

The technical committee of this fencing championship comprises Zhao Chuanjie, a professor at the Shanghai Institute of Physical Education, and two other referees, Ma Quan and Wang Feng, with international fencing referee qualifications.
The entire referee team comprises 37 first- and second-level referees to ensure the fairness and justice of the event.
In addition, the competition also invited three national-level coaches to carry out the master training camp and invited Shanghai Sports Zhao Chuanjie to give a special lecture on fencing.

It is understood that Yuelai International Convention and Exhibition City will host the Sino-Russian Youth Games this year and three municipal events, including the 2023 Chongqing Youth Fencing Championship, the Second Chongqing Children’s Sports Conference, and the 2023 Chongqing Youth Physical Fitness Test Confrontation.
In addition, there are five sports competitions, includinging fencing, badminton, basketball, table tennis, and swimming, in the Chongqing Competitive Sports Reserve Talent Excellent Seedling Training Camp.
Furthermore, China’s first sports and education integration high-end event, IP - China (Yuelai) Sports and Education Integration Conference and the country’s first sports and education integration innovative project - YUE Sports Chongqing National Expo Youth Sports Cen,ter will open at the Chongqing International Expo Center in the first half of this year.
The settlement of these top events, activities, and venues will be a practical move for the integration of sports and education of the Chongqing International Expo Cen. It willill help Yuelai International Convention and Exhibition City to break new ground in the development of the sports industry.
