Unifying Operation Platform of China Railway Express Nationwide | NPC Deputy

Chongqing - As a deputy to the National People's Congress (NPC) in the medical field, Zhang Jian, chief physician of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, has cared about the judiciary, the corridor economy, and other issues in China.

For example, Zhang paid special attention to the acquittal rate. "The international acquittal rate is about 20% to 30%, while our country's rate is meager," he said. "There is still a lot of room for improvement in judicial retrial and sentence revision."

Integrating the unified operation of China Railway Express nationwide is also his suggestion for better opening up to the rest of the world.

Since the first China Railway Express launched in 2011, over 70 cities across China have opened trains. But there is no national unified railway booking platform; even some provinces and cities lack goods supply and trip volume.

Therefore, Zhang suggested coordinating the establishment of a unified national operating platform for China Railway Express. Also, the railway department should strengthen the international transportation standards and issue a list of admitted products to enrich the type of railway transport goods.

Zhang also expressed his concern about economic development, and he believed that tax and fee reduction is a significant way to stimulate the vitality of local governments and enterprises.

"Systematically, lowering taxes can effectively reduce the pressure on businesses and boost workers' incomes," Zhang said. "This will stimulate market consumption and increase the fiscal revenue, which is actually a virtuous circle."

In his eyes, NPC deputies should collect people's wisdom and resolve problems. Zhang will continue to focus on the economy, society, people's livelihood, justice, and other sectors to fulfill his responsibilities.
