Chongqing - The national-level Chongqing Liangjiang New Area in southwestern China is to build a trillion-level digital economy industry cluster, according to its action plan released on March 18.

The action plan released at the Mingyue Lake Innovation and Development Conference on Digital Economy and Satellite Internet encourages the integrated digital economy and satellite internet development.
It is expected to cultivate 2-3 listed companies and 3-5 unicorn enterprises and to achieve revenue of 50 billion yuan by 2026; cultivate 3-5 listed companies, 8-10 unicorn enterprises, and one enterprise of 10,000 people scale by 2029, achieving revenue of 100 billion yuan scale.
Six major supportive projects will be taken to ensure the implementation of the action plan, including areas of digital industrialization support, industrial digital transformation, data factorization innovation, the satellite Internet breakthrough, medium-to-high-end talent gathering, and the digital economy business environment enhancement.
According to the plan, the Chongqing Digital Economy Innovation Park, inaugurated at the conference, will serve as the core carrier to promote the integrated development of the digital economy and satellite internet and to upgrade industrial capability.
The Chongqing Digital Economy Innovation Park, aiming to foster a trillion-level industry cluster, expects to hit a revenue at a 100 billion scale by 2029 and at a trillion scale by 2029.

Extending 30 square kilometers in Liangjiang New Area, Liangjiang Collaborative Innovation Zone is home to many universities, colleges, institutes, and organizations from home and abroad, which focus on scientific and technological innovation and achievement commercialization.
As China's first data-driven future park, the Chongqing Digital Economy Innovation Park establishes a data-driven aggregated operation platform that integrates online and offline.
The park will promote the industry from three major aspects of scenarios, funds, and policies. Scenarios will lead the factorization of data and industrial ecology development, and the park has set up a 10 billion yuan fund to attract talent and promote the development of industrial clusters.
A signing ceremony was hosted at the conference, where the first batch of 50 enterprises involved in the platform economy, satellite internet, and the digital economy inked cooperation with the Chongqing Digital Economy Innovation Park.
The conference invited industry experts and representatives from leading companies to share their views on digitalization, the autonomous computing industry, and the satellite internet industry.
