various cultural and tourism departments and companies from Southwest China's Chongqing and Changsha in Central China's Hunan province reached strategic cooperation agreements recently.

The "Destined for Hunan and Chongqing: Changsha Tourism Products Project (Chongqing) Promotion and Investment Conference 2023" was recently held in Chongqing, where agreements reached included Changsha joining the Wuling Mountain Cultural and Tourism Development Alliance. Additionally, there were strategic cooperation agreements between Changsha City's Cultural, Tourism and Broadcasting Bureau and Chongqing's Kaizhou District Cultural and Tourism Committee, and between two 5A scenic spots: Changsha's Yuelu Mountain and Orange Island Tourist Area and Chongqing's Jinfoshan Scenic Area.
Furthermore, there was a friendly cooperation agreement between Changsha Tourism Hotel Association and Chongqing Tourism Hotel Association. In addition, there was a deep cooperation agreement between Changsha Travel Agency Association, Changsha Scenic Area Association and Chongqing Cultural and Tourism Association. Lastly, there were charter flights and special train agreements for exchanging tourist resources between Hunan Overseas Travel Co., Ltd. and Chongqing Forest International Travel Agency and Chongqing Xinlucheng International Travel Agency.

Changsha is renowned as one of the first national historic and cultural cities, characterized by the poetic beauty of "mountains and rivers on an island." It has been recognized as an excellent tourism city in China, a national garden city, and a global green city. In recent years, Changsha has been dedicated to becoming an international cultural and creative center, as well as an international tourism center. The city has accelerated the construction of the "Famous Cultural and Tourism City" project while continuously improving its cultural and urban leisure image.
During the conference, Changsha introduced several significant cultural and tourism investment projects, including Orange Island Beach Park, Houhu Art Park, Mango Malan Mountain Square, Tongguan Kiln Yunmu Mountain, and Zhutang Lake Tourism Area. Additionally, representative products of Changsha's intangible cultural heritage, such as Liuyang fireworks, Changsha Xiang embroidery, and noodle sculpture, were showcased. Moreover, special tourist products from various districts and counties of Hunan Province were exhibited, capturing the attention of the people of Chongqing.
Furthermore, rewards and preferential policies were given to Chongqing travel agencies for ground services and visits to Changsha. Changsha provided various incentives for Chongqing's overnight ground teams, inbound tour groups, tourist charter flights, large-scale trains, chartered groups, and others, with a maximum of 500,000 yuan. The popular Changsha City Hi Card also provided exclusive discount benefits worth over 5,000 yuan for Chongqing's sales agents. With the card, tourists can enjoy a free visit to 27 popular paid scenic spots and exclusive discounts for nearly 100 online popular restaurants, shopping centers, and car brands.
